SmartRock™ is a cutting-edge wireless sensor designed for monitoring the curing and hardening processes of concrete. Unlike traditional break tests or cumbersome wired sensors, Giatec’s patented SmartRock sensor is seamlessly embedded and firmly secured on the rebar, ensuring a maintenance-free and hassle-free experience. By automatically collecting temperature data and calculating the strength of the in-place concrete using the maturity method—an ASTM-approved strength evaluation technique—SmartRock offers a highly accurate solution.
SmartRock boasts dual-temperature monitoring capabilities, allowing users to simultaneously measure temperature values at two distinct locations. This feature enables easy monitoring of temperature differentials between the core and surface of the concrete.
Accessible in real-time via the SmartRock mobile app—with a range of up to 40 feet—and the Giatec 360 desktop dashboard, users benefit from immediate access to crucial data. The incorporation of SmartRock’s AI assistant, Roxi™, provides intelligent notifications and alerts to assist project managers in making informed decisions and optimizing construction schedules. Working in tandem with the SmartHub™ remote monitoring device, SmartRock has facilitated swifter, safer, and more cost-effective concrete construction endeavors on over 6,200 projects spanning 45 countries.
